17. Archiving

17.1 Archiving preserving the context of documents

The archive preserves the context in which the documents were made available.

Guide to this standard

Content and documents available on the web that are now “historic” should not be altered for archiving. Any item of web content or document extracted from archive must be in the wording and should be in the format as it was when online.
