Self-Audit Compliance Checklist
NOTE: This page has been ARCHIVED. Please refer to the New Zealand Government Web Standards Wiki for the most current information on this topic.
Compliance with Government Web Guidelines became mandatory on 1 January 2006 (CAB Min (03)41/2B Cabinet Minute of Decision). Government agencies are working to make their web sites accessible in compliance with the Web Standards and Recommendations.
The Web Guidelines working group have developed a self-audit checklist that will enable agencies to check or review agency web site compliance against the Web Standards and Recommendations. The self-audit checklist outlines all the standards and recommendations under their respective sections.
Where a web site or content is not compliant in specific areas, we encourage you to discuss the situation with SSC, so we can determine whether and exemption from the Web Standards and Recommendations is required.
