NZGLS metadata and thesauri - Home

The New Zealand Government Locator Service (NZGLS) strategy takes care of the way in which government information and services - online and offline - are described. These descriptions are called metadata.

The NZGLS strategy consists of:

  • ensuring a consistent structure for the descriptions government agencies apply to their information and services - NZGLS metadata standard
  • the terms used to describe information and services - NZGLS thesauri
  • appropriate processes and tools for the creation and maintenance of the descriptions of agencies' information and services - NZGLS metadata management.
