Overview
eXtensible Name and Address mark-up Language (xNAL) is an XML based way of representing names and addresses.

The New Zealand XNAL schema is based on the international standards bodyOASIS (Organisation for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) version of XNAL. It has been adapted in order to suit New Zealand traditions and customs of displaying name and address details.
OASIS XNAL is an established worldwide standard and is a mandatory part of the e-GIF. NZ XNAL, being more recently developed and requiring usage experience is categorised as recommended in the e-GIF.
