e-GIF Management Committee Summary 15 May 2007

1. Updated Terms of Reference:

The Committee:

• agreed with the updated Terms of Reference for the e-GIF Management Committee.

2. Trusted Computing and Digital Rights Management Standards and Guidelines

The Committee:

• agreed to include the TC/DRM Standards and Guidelines in the e-GIF
• agreed that the Standards should be included in the e-GIF from 1 July 2007 as Recommended Standards.

3. Criteria for Determining the Impact a Status Change to a Standard will have on Agencies

The Committee:

• agreed that the e-GIF Programme be delegated responsibility for deciding status change for:
• • A new standard being proposed for Future Consideratio
  • A new standard being proposed for Under Developmen
  • A standard moving from Future Consideration to Under Development
• agreed that the e-GIF Management Committee should retain responsibility for agreeing the following status changes:
• • A standard moving from Future consideration or Under Development to Recommended or Adopted
  • A standard moving from Recommended to Adopted
  • A standard moving from Recommended or Adopted to Deprecated.

The Committee expressed a wish to have any status changes reported back to the members and for agencies to be kept informed.
