Governance

The e-GIF Management Committee reviews the content and effectiveness of the NZ e-GIF. The Committee is made up of senior representatives from Government Agencies and Crown Entities.

The e-GIF Management Committee makes decisions about:

  • the future design and content of the NZ e-GIF
  • prioritisation of NZ e-GIF development activities
  • design and conduct of NZ e-GIF business processes
  • handling of appeals by agencies over changes to the NZ e-GIF
  • requests by agencies for exemptions for the NZ e-GIF


The Committee also has a role in advising and making recommendations about:

  • the strategic direction of the e-GIF programme
  • the role and performance of the Custodian
  • promotion of the NZ e-GIF in relevant national and international fora
  • adoption of the NZ e-GIF in the public sector
  • the terms of reference and future membership of the Committee


The e-GIF Management Committee meet on a quarterly basis. When a decision is required outside of these meetings, an interim meeting will be arranged. The following documents are summaries of the minutes from e-GIF Management Committee meetings.
