2 Recommendations

The S.E.E. team recommends that the S.E.E. Steering Group:

2.1.1 Note the need for S.E.E. to liaise with Ministry of Economic Development to ensure that NZ interests are represented effectively in international fora, particularly APEC TEL.

2.1.2 Note that there could be value for the New Zealand Government from increased participation in a number of PKI fora in the Asia Pacific region.

2.1.3 Recommend to the Director of the E-government unit that the unit maintain a watching brief on PKI fora activities in the Asia Pacific region, with participation where necessary.

2.1.4 Recommend to the director of the E-government unit that he consider sending a S.E.E. PKI member to the next inter-government PKI meeting in November 2001, in the Netherlands.
