Internet skills - Home page

This project will encourage the adoption by government of training schemes to ensure public servants have the ability, where their work requires it, to use the Internet in an efficient and productive way. It is one of several activities to ensure that government agencies are ready for e-government.

The Internet Skills of Public Servants project will:

  • by using the Public Service Training Organisation (PSTO), establish standards that indicate an appropriate understanding of the Internet and how to use it
  • establish an accreditation process for training organisations that will deliver training
  • regularly assess the effectiveness of training
  • assist in developing staff training priorities for government agencies.
