SSC appoints Business Development and Uptake Manager
5 October 2006
The State Services Commission has appointed a Business Development and Uptake Manager to support SSC's new role as a provider of mission-critical all-of-government services.
Roisin King, who has extensive experience in IT service sales and management, will be responsible for driving the services uptake to achieve the necessary subscription for the SSC's suite of products and services, including the Government Shared Network and the Government Logon Service.
"This role is part of a wider strategy to ensure that both sides of the e-government equation are well managed, the service delivery and the demand for those services," said Laurence Millar, Deputy Commissioner Information and Communications Technologies.
The role has a strong external, results-oriented focus. Roisin King will be responsible for an integrated sales, marketing and communications strategy, she will establish and lead a small team to ensure that uptake targets are met and she will develop and maintain strategic relationships across the State Services.
"Driving demand for e-government services is crucial to the success of the e-government programme. Appointing Roisin to this role recognizes the importance of wider uptake of the services and signals our ongoing commitment to the success of this suite of services and to New Zealand’s e-government programme," Laurence Millar said.
Roisin King will start at the SSC in October.
