The State Services Commission’s (SSC) All-of-government Operations unit has earned an ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Maturity Score that is greater than the Australian and New Zealand average for Security Management.
SSC operates various all-of-government e-government operational systems and services. ITIL is a methodology which enables organisations to implement best practices and improvements to their IT services.
The overall maturity rating for the Information Security Management process rose from 1.54 out of five in February 2007, to 2.76 out of five for this assessment. This score is above the Australia and New Zealand average (2.70).
The improved score reflects both the provision of additional documentation and information to the assessor plus the significant amount of work and progress made by the SSC team since the last assessment.
