SEEMail version 2

Agencies running SEEMail have until the middle of March 2004 to upgrade to version 2. This process started in July 2003, and to date nearly half the agencies have successfully completed the process. The main changes relate to reducing the amount of time required to manage SEEMail, while improving the robustness of the system. Users will notice little difference.

There are now over 40 agencies signed up to the project, with another 8 pending. The E-government Unit is currently planning how to extend SEEMail beyond core government.
