Portal beta released to agencies

A number of agencies are currently reviewing their metadata in a beta release of the new government web portal. This is the first time agencies have seen their services and information displayed as the public will see it, alongside that of other agencies. Other agency metadata providers will have access to the beta soon.

The beta release follows an announcement by the State Services Commissioner that the formal launch of the portal would be postponed until after the general election on 27 July 2002.
