Portal - www.govt.nz

Proposals being received for a re-design which will be implemented over 2-3 months.

Sara told the meeting that there had been a small refresh of the look before Christmas to tie into a marketing pilot with Christchurch Central libraries. The aim is to see whether marketing www.govt.nz increases traffic to the site. Banners, brochures and book marks are in all the libraries and the librarians have been given background training so they can publicise it to their clients.

If the programme is successful, it will hopefully be extended to other local authority libraries.

Portal strategy

More thinking has been done and the portal strategy is now being included as part of a larger web access strategy.

State Services Commission restructure

The EGU will become part of the Information and Communications Technology Branch. The final structure will be available on 11 March.
