3. E-government Portal operations developments

Sara reported that Metalogue2 is due for completion at the end of June. Training will be provided to "superusers" within Agencies - approximately 50 - 60 people in total. Metalogue2 incorporates improved workflow including email and phone numbers for help.

The interface has been split into two, general and advanced. The general interface features a directed way of creating metadata for people who don't need to know about NZGLS. There is stronger referential integrity than in the original version, as metadata creators will have a "drag and drop" facility for linking documents and services, rather than being required to create cross-references in each record. The advanced interface is similar, but more explicitly NZGLS-based. It contains the full functionality of the system and is likely to be used by information management personnel.

Sara suggested that the group should have a look at the new version, first as a demonstration and then use the url themselves and provide feedback.

Action: Sara to organise a time for a group demonstration of Metalogue2.
