Purpose

2. The purpose of the Site Certification process is to provide a benchmark for Applicants that will indicate gateways are able to exchange, block and report upon messages sent between S.E.E. Mail agencies so as to satisfy the basic security policy requirements of S.E.E. Mail.

3. Although secure e-mail gateway products may provide additional functionality outside of the minimum set of interoperation capabilities, Site Certification is not concerned with these, unless these additional functions adversely impact the functionality of S.E.E Mail.
