Application for Site Certification

1 Any Eligible Agency may submit an application in writing to the Director, E-government Unit for Site Certification.

Instructions for new applicants

Applicants should reply to all the following requirements.

Contact

Applicants should state the name, title, and contact details of the person(s) who is authorised to act on behalf of their organisation for the purposes of the Site Certification process.

Requirements for Agency to Agency Secure E-mail

Only Accredited Software installed and configured by the associated Accredited Vendor on the Applicant's mail gateway may be submitted for site certification

Interoperation testing

The Applicant will be required to submit the Accredited Software for testing, which at the S.E.E. Manager's sole discretion may consist of one or both of testing with Operational Reference Systems in Participating Agencies or laboratory testing.

The Applicant will demonstrate that the Accredited Software being testing can interoperate with one instance of each type of Accredited Software when configured to pass the S.E.E. Mail Tests and may be required to provide the S.E.E. Manager with hands-on access to the software undergoing testing.

The Applicant will provide the S.E.E. Manager with a permanent record of the Site Certification process on CDROM including all relevant documentation and test results.

Failure to demonstrate interoperability will result in the termination of the Site Certification process by the S.E.E. Manager.

Interim and Full Site Certification

Successful completion of interoperation testing will result in the software product being granted an interim Site Certification. Interim Site Certification gives the Applicant the right to establish links with each Participating Agency. If all links are not established within 30 days, the Interim Site Certification will be withdrawn.

Full Site Certification will be conferred when the Applicant confirms to the S.E.E. Manager that links have been established with each Participating Agency.
