What is S.E.E. Mail?
S.E.E. Mail is a system designed to secure Internet e-mail traffic between Participating Agencies. The system is approved to protect information classified IN-CONFIDENCE or SENSITIVE.
NOTE: S.E.E. Mail is not to be used for information classified CONFIDENTIAL, SECRET or TOP-SECRET.

How does S.E.E. Mail work?
The sending S.E.E. Mail system puts the body of your message and any attachments in a secure electronic tamper-proof agency envelope. The envelope is sent via normal Internet e-mail.
The receiving S.E.E. Mail system confirms the envelope has not been tampered with. It opens the envelope and sends your message and any attachments to the receiver.
This process is normally hidden - the S.E.E. Mail system will only send a warning if it detects a problem.
Who are the S.E.E. Mail Participating Agencies?
The current list of Participating Agencies can be found here [* password protected: register for access]. Some agencies are listed as "(interim)", which means they still setting up secure links - they may not have a link with your agency yet.
