S.E.E. PKI - Policy component for Windows

S.E.E. Key Policy component for Windows

The S.E.E. Key Policy component lets Microsoft Windows programs enumerate and examine certificate policies in digital certificates. The component will work equally with non-S.E.E. Key accredited certificates.

The primary purpose of this component for S.E.E. is to allow an application to determine whether a certificate should be trusted in a particular context, and can be used to implement a Policy Trust list model like that proposed in Paper 4.

The component is delivered as a DLL, which should be copied to a location on the Windows NT/Windows 2000 machine and registered with regsvr32.

Two zip files are available.

SEEKeyPolicy.zip [175KB] contains

  • SEEKeyPolicy.dll
  • A help file
  • A sample ASP page utilising this component.

SEEKeyPolicySource.zip [594KB] contains

  • the above, as well as
  • C++ source code for the DLL

The S.E.E. Key Policy component DLL and source code is protected by Crown Copyright © 2002.

The component may be used freely and the source code reused in other applications, however we request that enhancements and bug fixes to the functionality of the S.E.E. Key Policy component be notified to the S.E.E. Manager for consideration for incorporation in future versions of the component.
