Service-delivery architecture published
March 2003
A service-delivery architecture describes conceptually how services are delivered, grouping the many components of service delivery into larger ‘building blocks’ and showing how these blocks fit together. It tells us how government business systems are to be designed and structured.
A service-delivery architecture for government has just been published, providing agencies with a common language and framework to describe how they deliver services in the e-government environment.
The architecture will become increasingly relevant as agencies work together to integrate services to meet user’s needs in the online world. The architecture is currently being applied in phase 2 of the WorkSite labour market portal (www.worksite.govt.nz), involving a number of government agencies.
