Portal operations team comes together

With the launch of the portal approaching, the State Services Commission has assembled a team of five people to look after the day to day running of the portal and its future development, such as extending the reach and depth of content from government agencies.

The team will ensure the portal continues to present users with relevant high-quality information that can be found easily around the clock. The future development of the portal will depend on careful analysis of what users and agencies say they need. The team also will keep the custodians of the NZGLS metadata standard and thesauri informed of user and agency feedback.

The operations team draws together technical expertise, expertise in information architecture, hands-on knowledge of the metadata standard and its use on the portal, and skills in web-based communication.
