GOVIS 2001
Presentations
A major e-government event of 2001 was the GOVIS 2001 Conference in early May. This was an important forum for discussion of how e-government becomes a reality.
GOVIS is the Government Information Systems Managers' Forum and has been an unofficial fixture of the Government IT environment since 1992. As a forum for sharing knowledge, GOVIS is a practical example of e-government in action.
E-government Unit staff presented to the conference. They were:
- E-procurement - Tim Waldron
- GUIDE Framework (Metadata) - Trudy Rankin
- NZ Government Portal Strategy - Edwin Bruce
- Interoperability- What's the buzz? - Greg Sloane
- Implementing Secure E-mail - Mike Pearson
- Shared Policy Workspace - Rose O'Neill
- New Zealand Government Web Guidelines - Mark Harris
- GOVIS 2001: Closing Address - Brendan Boyle
